Paul Anderson, COO
Paul is the founder of GEM, which he started in 1994. Paul sold the company to General Environmental Management in 2006. Paul led the divestiture of GEM Mobile Treatment in 2009. He currently oversees the operations, safety, compliance, and engineering departments of the company. Paul is a recognized nation-wide expert in vapor combustion and has presented at numerous technical conferences on tank degassing and vapor control. He is a member of the US Coast Guard Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC), which is chartered with developing regulations governing the movement of hazardous products over the nation’s waterways.
Paul holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University.
Chris Longo, Corporate Regulatory Compliance Manager
Chris is responsible for GEM’s environmental regulatory compliance including permit negotiation, regulatory interpretation, and agency interface. Prior to joining GEM in 2006, Chris was in environmental consulting where he held duties such as project management, data collection and tabulation, and performed field audits.
Chris holds a BA in Geography/Environmental Studies from California State University Long Beach.
Chris Derrick, Corporate Engineering Manager
Chris joined GEM in 1997 and oversees all aspects of equipment design, fabrication, and startup. He also has responsibility for equipment-specific training, equipment performance & preventative maintenance, and technology innovation. Chris is a recognized national expert in vapor combustion.
Chris holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University.
